Ahly defender Rami Rabia will miss the first-leg of Ahly's clash against Morocco's Wydad in the African Champions League semi-final after sustaining a hamstring injury, the club said on Sunday.
The injury-prone defender was hurt in Ahly's 1-0 victory over Tanta in the Egyptian Premier League, almost three weeks before the Wydad encounter.
The first leg will be held in Casablanca on 18 October, with the return taking place a week later in Cairo. It's not yet clear if he will be able to feature in the second leg.
"Scans revealed that Rami Rabia tore a hamstring muscle," Ahly football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz told the club's official website.
"He needs around four weeks of treatment to recover from his injury."
Ahly, who were crowned Egyptian champions for a fifth straight season earlier this month, are eyeing a record-extending ninth African Champions League trophy and their first since 2013.
