Egypt reports 127 new coronavirus cases, 11 deaths on Sunday

Despite the drop in cases, Egyptian authorities have warned that the country has not yet emerged from the crisis despite the fall in new cases and deaths, urging strict adherence to preventive measures nationwide


Egypt detected 127 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, bringing the total tally to 105,424 cases since the outbreak began in mid-February.

According to an official statement, the health ministry reported 11 new deaths, bringing the total deaths from the virus to 6,120.

The statement said that 90 patients had been discharged from hospitals in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 98,247.
