Egypt condemns the terrorist attack that took place Saturday outside an education centre in Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

According to Afghani officials, 24 people were killed and 75 injured in the suicide bombing outside the Kawsar-e Danish centre.

The Islamic State group (IS) claims responsibility for the attack, while a Taliban spokesman has denied the group carried out the bombing.

“Egypt expresses its sincere condolences, as a government and people, to the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the victims’ families, and wishes speedy recovery for the injured,” the statement read.
