All winners of 4th El Gouna Film Festival

The festival's closing ceremony took place on 30 October at the Gouna Center for Convention and Culture


El Gouna Film Festival held its closing ceremony for its 4th edition today at the Gouna Center for Convention and Culture, announcing the awards with the total value of $224,000.

Presenter and actress Nardin Faraj presented the ceremony, awarding Egyptian actor Khaled El Sawy the Creative Achievement Award. El Sawy expressed his happiness adding that he considers the festival to be one of the significant cinematic events in the Arab region.

The Khaled Bichara Award for Independent Filmmakers in Egypt, will be awarded annually to support young Egyptian filmmakers, has been announced, with an estimated value of $10,000 that went to a project in development, Ahmed Fawzi Saleh’ Hamlet from the Slums.

El Gouna Star for the Best Actor (Trophy, certificate): Ali Suliman, 200 Meters

El Gouna Star for the Best Actress (Trophy, certificate): Jasna Djuricic, Quo vadis, Aida?

Special Jury Mention: Oasis by Ivan Ikic’s.
