Ethiopian Broadcasting Authority (EBA) hassuspended the press license of Reuters correspondent in the country Giulia Paravicini, for an unspecified amount of time after a warning letter was issued to thecorrespondent.

The Authority said that the decision has been due to the "false and biased" reporting by the news agency's correspondent on Ethiopia's current affairs andcoverage of the fighting in the Tigray region, which "misleads the world and causes international pressure to mount on Ethiopia."

The Authority has also issued a warning letter to thecorrespondents of both BBC and Deutsche Wellefor what it described as "violation of the rules of media broadcasting."
