FC St. Pauli coach extols Egyptian winger Omar Marmoush's superb start in 2nd Bundesliga
Marmoush was close to finding the net again five minutes after opening the score but his chance was denied by Holstein Kiel's goalkeeper
FC St. Pauli Head Coach Timo Schultz has praised the performance of Egyptian winger Omar Marmoush after opening his score account in the second Germany Bundesliga on Saturday.
The 21-year-old winger, Marmoush, who is on loan to FC St. Pauli from Wolfsburg, made a superb performance during his first appearance with the team as he scored a goal during the 1-1 draw with Holstein Kiel.
"Omar had the chance to put it almost beyond doubt with an outstanding piece of play but unfortunately hit it straight at the keeper,"Schultz was quoted on FC St. Pauli's official website.
"Omar, he’s an extremely agile player who is superb in attacking one-on-ones and has a good finish," the FC St. Pauli coachadded.
Marmoush was close to finding the net again five minutes after opening the score but his chance was denied by Holstein Kiel's goalkeeper.
"I’d have had no objections if he’d rewarded himself with a second goal," said Timo Schultz.
St. Pauli are in the 17th place of the Germany Bundesliga with only 10 points after playing 15 games so far this season.
Marmoush joined the Wolfsburg II team from Egypt’s Wadi Degla in 2017 before making his first appearance with the team in May 2020. He joined FC St. Pauli this winter and made his debut with the team only four days after signing contracts.
