Yousri Hammad says the "unknown third party" is behind the violence that took place in front of the Ministry of Defence earlier on Friday; criticises those who have made mistakes in ruling the country since Mubarak fell

An official spokesperson of Nour Party blamed an "unknown third party" for the violent clashes between protesters and military police which broke out a few hours ago in front of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) in Cairo's Abbasiya area.

Speaking to Al-Jazeera Mubasher Misr TV channel, Yusri Hammad called on the ruling Supreme Council of Armed Forces (SCAF) to apply self-restraint while handling the situation in Abbasiya to avoid more bloodshed.

However, the spokesperson indirectly blamed the ruling military council for not fullfilling the revolution's demands in the last year thus creating sentiments of resentment and anger.

The spokesperson of the Salafist party also asked protestors to withdraw from the clashes area for the same purpose.

Thousands of protestors marched to the MOD on Friday afternoon to denounce SCAF. Violent clashes broke out leaving 59 protestors and tens of army personnel wounded, according to official sources.

Hammad added that military rule of Egypt should end and that SCAF must go back to the barricades.
