IIttihad Jeddah's football director Eid Al-Johany revealed on Monday that the Saudi side's board refused Ismaily's asking price for signing midfielder Hosny Abd-Rabou, adding that the club is considering extending Abd-Rabou's loan to next season.

"We are looking to extend Abd-Rabou's loan until the end of the next season because Ismaily's asking price for a permanent deal is excessive,'' Al-Johany told Saudi newspaper Al-Jazeera on Monday.

Abd-Rabou, who joined Ittihad Jeddah on January on a six-month loan deal, produced a string of strong performances with the Saudi side, leading coach Raul Caneda to ask Ittihad management to extend his stay with the club.

According to the Saudi newspaper, Ittihad Jeddah have tabled a 1.5 million euro offer with Ismaily – including the player's share – to sign the international midfielder for a season-long loan, but Ismaily have asked for two million euros.

The daily newspaper added that the Saudi giants are considering signing Zamalek's under-fire forward Mahmoud 'Shikabala' Abdel-Razek, while his fate with Zamalek is still uncertain.

Several voices on Zamalek's board demanded Shikabala's exit from the club after his touchline with coach Hassan Shehata during Zamalek's 2-0 win over Maghreb Fes two weeks ago in Cairo.

Zamalek's board will reveal their decision concerning Shikabala's fate on Saturday.
