A strong 5.8 magnitude earthquake in northeast Italy on Tuesday killed one man and injured several other people, while panicked residents rushed into the streets, local television reported.

One man was killed and one wounded in San Felice near Parma, while four workers were trapped under rubble in the nearby town of Mirandola, Rai News 24 television reported.
