Liberal parliamentarian Hamzawy stated on Facebook Wednesday, legislation to retry Egypt's ousted leader drafted by judicial committee of NGOs and Free Egyptian Party members, is on its way to parliament

Liberal MP Amr Hamzawy announced Wednesday on his Facebook page that he has formed a judicial committee made up of NGO workers and members of the Free Egyptian Party political and legal team, to draft legislation facilitating the re-trial of ousted president Hosni Mubarak.

The liberal parliamentarian confirmed through the social media platform that the goal of the law is to re-investigate and re-try the former leader and his men without the need for exceptional laws or trials.

Although he did not go into legal specifics the legislation, Hamzawy said, intends to hold the ousted regime accountable for all the violations committed against the Egyptian people since 1981.

Hamzawy hoped that it would be ready to send to Parliament within in a few hours in order to be discussed as soon as possible.

"Victory for martyrs' rights and a state of law is our ultimate goal", Hamzawy added.

Angry protests broke out across the country on Saturday in response to Mubarak's verdict where it acquitted both of his sons and ex-minister of interior Habib El-Adly's 6 police chiefs, while Mubarak and El-Adly were given life sentences.
