Belgian giants join the race to sign Ghana and Smouha striker this summer

Belgian side Standard Liege are in advanced talks with Egyptian outfit Smouha over the latter's striker Samuel Affum during the current transfer window.

Standard Liege have asked Smouha to reduce the price tag on the Ghana striker as the Egyptian side valued the 23-year-old at $2 million after rejecting a $1.1 million offer from the Cairo giants Ahly early last month.

The 10-time Belgian champions are eager to pay $ 1 million, Ghanasoccernet.com reports.

The Ghana striker, Affum has recently rejected a loan offer from Korean K-league side Daegu as he still has two years left on his contract with Smouha.

The 23-year-old striker Affum was the Smouha’s top scorer with seven goals before the cancellation of the Egyptian Premier League.
