Fareeq Al Atrash to perform with Egyptian musician Deeb, at El-Geneina Theatre, El-Sawy Culturewheel, and Cairo Jazz Club this September
The Lebanese Fareeq Al Atrash and Egyptian hip-hop artist Deeb are performing three live concerts in Cairo on a tour supported by the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture this September, bringing Arabic hip-hop to an Egyptian audience.
The performances kick off at El Geneina theatre on 1 September, and will also take place at El Sawy Culturewheel on 2 September, and finally at the Cairo Jazz Club on 4 September.
"Fareeq Al Atrash is a hip-hop band based out of Hamra St. Beirut, with a sound that is distinguished by laid back, topical flows over live instrumentation," according to the band's official Faceebook page.
Deeb joined the group Asfalt in 2005, and created Wighit Nazar with Mohamed Yasser in 2007 as a hip-hop duet. He is now working on a solo album.
