Egypt and Turkey's Elazigspor striker Amr Zaki is close to join Tunisian giants Club Africain in the coming few days, the former Zamalek player revealed late Friday.

The 29-year old attacker has recently reached an agreement with Elazigspor to leave the Turkish league when the winter transfer window reopens in January.

"I will travel to Tunisia on 4 January to discuss the contract details in a meeting with Club Africain officials," Zaki told Tunisian radio station Mozaic.

"Club Africain is one of the big clubs in Africa and it is a pleasure for me to join them.

"I told the Tunisian club officials that Elazigspor is asking for 400,000 Euros to release me," he added.

Zaki joined Elazigspor on a three-year contract coming from Egyptian side Zamalek during the previous summer transfer window.

The former ENPPI player, Zaki moved to Zamalek in 2006, where he was loaned to English Premier League side Wigan Athletic in 2008-2009 and scored 11 goals in 33 matches. He also had a short spell at Hull City where he made six appearances.

Club Africain currently lies second in the Tunisian league table with 15 points, one point behind rivals Esperance.
