Former Ismaili player Sayed Moawad agrees to extend his six-year stint with the Red Devils for an additional two years

Ahly's left-back Sayed Moawad has signed a two year contract extension, the Cairo giants announced.

"Moawad signed a new two-year contract without conditions," Ahly said in a statement released on Monday in its official website.

"The player was very lenient and he left it up to the club management to decide upon the contract financial terms," added the statement.

The Pharaohs star followed the steps of experienced teammates Mohamed Abou-Treika and Wael Gomaa who recently extended their stay for the same period.

The African Champions football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz has praised the 33-year old player's flexibility during negotiations and also his commitment to the club.

Moawad, who joined the Red Devils in 2008 from costal side Ismaily, has played instrumental role in leading the club for a series of local and global trophies. He is also one of the key players of the Egyptian national team during the last few years.
