Injured defender Sherif Abdel-Fadil will likely miss Red Devils' upcoming match with Tunisia's CA Bizertin; Mohamed Naguib expected to play despite groin injury

Defender Mohamed Naguib is ready for Ahly's upcoming clash with Tunisian giants CA Bizertin in round of 16 of the CAF Champions League on 20 April, although injured defender Sherif Abdel-Fadil is expected to sit out of the match.

Naguib, currently suffering a groin injury, missed Sunday's 6-0 friendly win over Maadi. But he is expected to recover in time for the Red Devils' upcoming trip to Tunisia.

Midfielder Walid Soliman, meanwhile, is also confirmed for the trip despite reports that he has not yet recovered from a knee injury. Abdel-Fadil, for his part, will be left behind due to a muscle injury.

The titleholders of both the domestic and the continental championships are also missing their skipper, Hossam Ghaly, who is currently suffering from an injury. This week, the team welcomed back left-winger Sayed Moawad.

Ahly qualified for the round of 16 following an easy 2-0 home win over Kenya's Tusker last week, giving the team an overall 4-1 aggregate victory.

The Cairo giants currently lie at the top of the Egyptian League's Group A with 18 points from eight matches.
