Author of Book of Tapas and food editor for ¡Hola! magazine lectures on Mediterranean diet at Spanish language institute, Cervantes on Sunday, 12 May
'Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine' is the topic on the table of the lecture by food writer, Inés Ortega Klein, hosted by the Spanish language institute, Cervantes on 12 May.
Ortega Klein points out that the Mediterranean diet isn't just a diet to lose weight, but rather the "union of various traditions and shared cultures from the [Mediterranean] countries, such as the olive oil and aromatic plants."
In the lecture she will talk about the benefits of Mediterranean cuisine, considered an intangible heritage by UNESCO, whether those benefits are the same for men as for women and she will als compare it to other Mediterranean cuisines.
Lecture to be given in Spanish.
