Egyptian president will attend conference organized by Muslim Brotherhood which aims to support Syrians in their current crisis
President Mohamed Morsi will attend a conference on Syria next Saturday at the Cairo International Conference Centre in Nasr City.
The conference is part of a Syria solidarity week organized by the Muslim Brotherhood and will include other influential figures such as Muslim cleric Yusuf El-Qaradawi and Saudi Shaykh Mohamed Al-Arifi. The conference is scheduled to start on Thursday 13 June.
The announcement was made on Wednesday by Muslim Brotherhood General Secretary Mahmoud Hussein. Hussein declared that the Muslim Brotherhood will participate in the Syria solidarity week because of their "historical responsibility and obligation."
The conference will take place less than two weeks before the 'Rebel' country-wide protests, which, scheduled for 30 June, will call for snap presidential elections.
