Hoping to support citizens during Egypt's political transition, Jerusalem youth raise donations as part of fundraising campaign

Jerusalem youth and civil society launched a fundraising campaign Wednesday in a show of solidarity with Egyptians and the democratic transformations taking place in Egypt after 30 June, state-run news agency MENA reported.

The campaign is spearheaded by The Islamic Christian Commission in Support of Jerusalem & Holy Sites, an interreligious non-profit organisations in Jerusalem.

The donations raised will be financial in nature.

The youth are backed by civil society members and businessmen, who will funnel the donations to an account specified for Egypt.
