Mahmoud Abdel-Razik injured his foot during 2-0 Uganda win, but team doctor says he will recover soon

Zamalek midfielder Mahmoud Abdel-Razik 'Shikabala' will not leave Egypt's training camp despite picking up an injury during the friendly against Uganda on Monday.

"Shikabala's injury is not serious. He will undergo medical examinations on Tuesday and will be rested for 48 hours," Pharaohs doctor Tarek Soliman told Ahram Sport after the 2-0 win over Uganda.

"It's just a minor sprained ankle injury. There is nothing to worry about," he added.

The 27-year-old joined the Pharaohs in 2005 and has scored a single goal in 21 caps. He has played for Zamalek since 2002 but spent two years with PAOK in Greece (2005-2007) and one year on loan with Al-Wasl in the Emirates in 2012-2013.

The seven-time African Cup of Nations champions are warming up for their World Cup playoff against Ghana in Kumasi on 15 October.
