Egyptian squash star Ramy Ashour loses two places in world ranking due to injury; three other Egyptians remain in top ten
A hamstring injury has forced Egyptian squash star Ramy Ashour to drop two places from the top of the world ranking.
Englishman Nick Matthew, who reached the World Championship final in Manchester at the expense of Ashour in November after the latter withdrew due to injury, topped the world ranking that was released on Thursday. He was then forced to miss Qatar Open one of the biggest tornament of the circuit two weeks later.
Ashour, who was ranked the world's best, is now placed third.
Fellow Egyptian Mohamed El-Shorbagui remains fourth on the list. Karim Darwish and Amr Shabana are in sixth and ninth positions respectively.
