Criminal court adjourns the trial of police figures accused of ordering live fire to be used on protesters in Qalioubiya until 4 June
Shoubra El-Kheima Criminal Court adjourned until 4 June, upon the request of the defence team,the trial of leading police figures accused of ordering the killing of protesters in Qalioubiya during the January 25 Revolution.
Security chief of Giza Farouk Lashin, who held the same position in Qalioubiya, is the most prominent of the four defendants.
Over 600 protesters were killed during the January 25 Revolution that lasted 18 days and resulted in the ouster of ex-president Hosni Mubarak on 11 February.
