Injury could delay the debut of Ahly's returning striker Gedo, while winger Walid Soliman will be out of action for another three months

Ahly striker Mohamed Nagy Gedo is doubtful for Thursday's Egyptian Premier League clash against Arab Contractors, while injured winger Walid Soliman will remain on the sidelines for an additional three months.

Gedo had just rejoined the Cairo giants training after ending his loan spell with English Premier League club Hull City.

"Gedo picked up a knock on his ankle and wasn't able to complete the morning training session. He will undergo further examinations on Wednesday to determine his availability for the Arab Contractors match," Ahly said in a statement on its official website on Tuesday.

Winger Walid Soliman has been out of action since the FIFA club World Cup in Morocco last December due to knee problems.

"Soliman underwent an arthroscopic surgery on his knee on Monday and will be out of action for the coming three months," Ahly Football Director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz revealed.

Ahly is currently leading Egyptian league Group A with 12 points, three ahead of second-place Smouha.
