00:10 Boxer Hossam Bakr failed to reach the semi-finals after losing 0-3 to Uzeil Rodriguez of Mexico in the quarters 

23:25 Diver Youssef Selim finished at the 25th place of the 3m springboard qualifiers scoring 360.95 points.

22:25 Weightlifter Gaber Mohamed has finished fourth of the 105 kg Group B after lifting 173 kg in snatch and 204 in clean & jerk totalling 377 kg.

21:50 Egypt's greco-roman wrestler Ahmed Mohamed Saad lost 2-1 in the repechage round 2 from Nikolay Bayryakov of Bulgaria.

20:35 Weightlifter Gaber Mohamed is currently competing in the Group B of the 105 kg event.

20:00 Youssef Selim will compete in the men's diving 3m springboard shortly. 

18:50 Egypt's greco-roman wrestler Ahmed Mohamed Saad will play in the repechage round 2 of the 85 kg event later on today as Zhan Beleniuk of Ukraine who beat him in the qualifying round has reached the final.

18:20 Egypt's synchronized swimming duet Dara Hassanein and Samia Ahmed finished 23rd in the technical routine scoring 76.5306 points. They finished 23rd in the overall ranking with a total of 154.1306 points in the free and technical routine. 

18:05: Egypt's handball team lost 31-25 to Germany in their final game of the the preliminary round. Egypt fails to reach the quarters as they finished fifth of the group with three points behind Germany 8 points, Slovenia 8, Brazil 5 and Poland 4  

17:10 Egypt's handball team is losing 15-12 against Germany at the end of the first half. 

16:20 Egypt's handball team will start shortly their game against Germany and they are in a must-win stituation after losing two games and drawing only once from their previous four games.

16:10 Reem Kassem finished 25th of the women's marathon 10km swimming timing 2:05:19.1 hours. Sharon Van Rouwendaal of Netherlands won the event timing 1:56:32.1 hour.

15:45 Egypt volleyball team have lost 3-0 to Argentina (25-16, 25-19, 25-20) in their final game of the preliminary round. Egypt - who have only 3 points - fails to reach the quarters as they are fifth of the Pool B behind leaders Argentina, 12 pts, Poland, 9 pts, Russia, 8, and Iran, 7 pts. 

15:33 Egypt's greco-roman wrestler Ahmed Mohamed Saad was beaten by great superiority, 9-0, to Zhan Beleniuk of Ukraine in the 85kg event.  The 25-year old Ukrainian wrestler is the 2015 World Champion and 2016 European champions. 

15:30 Oleksandr Chernetskyy of Ukraine defeated Egypt's Abdellatif Mohamed by great superiority 9-0 in the qualifying round of the Greco-Roman wrestling 130 kg event.

15:21 Egypt volleyball team are now 2-0 behind Argentina after losing 25-19 in the second set.

15:10 Menatalla Karim finished 7th of heat 1 in the women's Kayak 200m single event timing 49.596 seconds. She came at the 28th and last place of the qualifiers.

14:50 Egypt volleyball team lose 25-16 to Argentina in the first set of the men's preliminary - Pool B

14:00 Egypt volleyball team, who have been already eliminated, will face Argentina shortly in the final game of the preliminary round

11:00 Egyptian swimmer Reem Qassem will kick off Egypt's events on Monday in Rio as she competes in the Swimming Marathon at 14:00 Cairo local time

00:40 Egypt's weightlifter Shaimaa Ahmed finished 4th in the +75 kg women finals, missing a Rio medal. She sustained a muscle injury after failing in her attempet during last night's decider event.
