1:30 Egypt weighlifter Ahmed Abdel-Aziz quit the contest due to injury. He suffered a muscle strain while trying to lift 192kg in the snatch contest.

00:55 Egypt weightlifter Ahmed Abdel-Aziz finishes at the 10th place at the end of the snatch contest with 190 kg.

22:30 At midnight Cairo time weightlifter Ahmed Mohamed Abdel-Aziz will be competing in the Group A of the +105kg event.

21:25 Greco-Roman wrestler Adham Saleh lost 5-0 to 2013 World Champion Hansu Ryu of Korea in the repechage round 2 of the 66kg event.

18:36 Equestrian Karim El-Zoghby finished at the 42nd place at the end of the second round of the qualifiers. He will contest the third qualifier that will take place on Wednesday.

15:30 Greco-Roman wrestler Adham Saleh fails to get past the round of 16 after losing 9-0 to Armenia's Migran Arutyunyan by Great Superiority in the men's 66kg category.   

12:05 After his fine performance in Day 1 of the men's Jumping event, Equestrian Karim El-Zoghby will be looking to maintain his rhythm in Day 2. He finished the first day of the qualifiers without a single penalty and qualified for the next round among the top performers. He will be eyeing for a similar performance on Tuesday that would put him in a fine position for Day 3, which will take place Wednesday.
