Organised by the Culture Resource (Al-Mawred Al-Thaqafy), the third edition of biennial Cairo International Circus Festival (CirCairo) kicked off at Al-Azhar Park on Friday 17 October.

Egyptian and international troupes performed for large crowds gathered across the location. The performances included Gandini Juggling (UK), Bover (Spain), Lumen (Switzerland), The Three Heroes of Jutland (Denmark) and Al-Darb Al-Ahmar Arts School (DAAS) from Egypt.

The festival will continue until 26 October on stages across Cairo, including closed theatres and open air locations.

The festival's programme can be found here
