Dr Edouard Lambelet, Landrock's grandson and current owner of the celebrated Lehnert and Landrock bookshop in downtown Cairo, agreed to share with Ahram Online's folk team, these rare photographic gems

A series of photographs, out of the rare collection of Lehnert and Landrock, were recently made available to Ahram Online's folk team. The renowned friends and business partners dazzled the world with their enchanting photographs, which captured the essence of the Orient and the beauty of the desert at the beginning of the 20th century. Now almost a 100 years later, we view Egypt through their eyes.

This current collection is courtesy of Dr Edouard Lambelet, Landrock's grandson and current owner of the celebrated Lehnert and Landrock bookshop in downtown Cairo.
