VIDEO: Tawfik Okasha receives hero's welcome at judges protest

Controversial media personality Tawfik Okasha was given a hero's welcome by protesters supporting a sit-in by Egyptian judges

Protesters gathered in support of a judges protest gave controversial TV talk show host Tawfik Okasha a hero's welcome when he turned up on Monday.

A group of Egyptian judges are on strike in protest at the proposed elections law currently proposed.

Okasha's TV channel 'Faraeen' was taken off air in 2012 after falling foul of authorities.
