“Despite surprisingly resilient labour markets and strong consumer demand, despite the uplift in China, we expect the world economy to grow less than three per cent this year,” said Kristalina Georgieva, managing director of the IMF, in the course of this week’s spring meetings of the World Bank Group and IMF. The meetings in Washington DC reviewed the repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict on the global economy.
