The Egypt Football Association (EFA) has decided to delay all the Premier League matches due to the ongoing demonstrations in Egypt. No date, however, has been announced for the rescheduled matches.

The EFA has also canceled the friendly game against the USA scheduled for 9 February. They intend to reach an agreement with their American counterpart  to reschedule the game.

Another consequence of the country's political turmoil is the association's decision to extend the winter transfer window as teams were unable to register new signings during their turmoil.
