GEM opening - The Grand Egyptian Museum

The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) has announced that entry will be free for several groups of Egyptians, including university students and teachers in archaeology and heritage faculties, war veterans, families of martyrs, accredited journalists, children under six, and visitors with special needs, once the museum officially opens to the public in early November.

The design of the GEM is a bold fusion of modern architecture and ancient landscape, set against the dramatic backdrop of the Giza Plateau.
