Egypt has reduced arrears owed to foreign oil and gas partners to around $1.3 billion from $6.1 billion in 2020 and is targeting full clearance by June 2026, as it steps up efforts to boost domestic gas production, attract new investment, and ease pressure on imports, Petroleum Minister Karim Badawi said on Tuesday.
