Mubarak is suffering from depression and a fever, a source told Ahram Online.
The ousted president is allegedly suffering from a 38.5 degree Celsius temperature and may fall into a coma if it reaches 39 due to his advanced age. The source said that the fever was brought on by an infection.
Since finding out about the detainment of his two sons, Alaa and Gamal, he has fallen into a bout of depression and refuses to take his medication or undergo any medical tests to determine the source of the infection.
Mubarak's sons have been handed 15 day sentences by Egypt's prosecutor-general and are currently in Tora Prison, south of Cairo.
