Ivory Coast's Midfielder Yaya Toure is considering departing Premier League champions Manchester City this summer, the player's agent Dimitry Seluk revealed.

Seluk hinted that Toure doesn't feel the appropriate appreciation from the English cup, especially on his 31st birthday last Tuesday, the same day of the side's title celebration in Abu Dhabi. Seluk didn't disclose any more details.

"Yaya is so upset, he's thinking of leaving City," Seluk told UK newspaper The Sun.

"There are a number of things that have happened that have left Yaya feeling bitterly upset. He must concentrate on the World Cup now.

"But City have treated him with disrespect and have really hurt him," he added.

Toure, who will join his Ivory Coast team ahead of this summer's World Cup finals, joined The Citizens in 2010 from Spanish giants Barcelona.

Last year, he renewed his contract for one year, but his agent says that the former Monaco player could rejoin Barcelona for even less money.

"They don't know that money can't buy relationships – no Sheikh can buy a relationship," Seluk explained.

"This isn't about money or a new contract – it's about human relationships and City have shown they don't respect him.

"I repeat, this is not about money. In fact, he would take less to return to Barcelona," he concluded.
