Prosecutors of the Illicit Gains Authority have ordered the extension of the detention of the once omnipotent secretary-general of Mubarak's ruling National Democratic Party, Safwat El-Sherif’s for another 15 days for further investigations.
El-Sherif is accused of taking egregious advantage of his former position to expand his personal wealth.
