Obama says 'confident' on new broad coalition against IS

US President Barack Obama on Friday said he was "confident" on the creation of a broad international coalition to counter Islamic State extremists.

"I leave here confident that NATO allies and partners are prepared to join in a broad, international coalition," he said, adding that US Secretary of State John Kerry would travel to the Middle East for talks to include regional powers.
