British Prime Minister David Cameron and opposition leader Ed Miliband said in a joint statement they would travel to Scotland on Wednesday as polls show those for and against independence evenly split ahead of next week's referendum.
Cameron and Miliband will miss their usual weekly parliamentary debate but said: "We want to be listening and talking to voters about the huge choice they face. Our message to the Scottish people will be simple: 'We want you to stay'."
