Dani Alves has reportedly agreed a fee with Manchester United as his Barcelona deal runs out at the end of the current season, according to the Daily Express.

Alves, who has been Barcelona's first-choice right-back since joining from Sevilla in 2008, is reportedly not keen to continue his career at the Nou Camp, as he is set to leave next summer.

Despite also being on the radar of Chelsea and Liverpool, Manchester United look to have beaten off competition from their Premier League rivals already for the 31-year-old's services.

Should Alves join United, he would become Rafael's short-term replacement at Old Trafford - as the Reds' right-back looks to have failed to impress United boss Louis van Gaal.

Barcelona were also quick to look for a replacement for Alves, with the Spanish giants eyeing Colombia's Juan Guardado's services to fill in the right-back slot.

Guardado, who also represented his side at the Brazil finals, is also reportedly on United's radar, but the Daily Star says the Colombian will snub any move once a starting role is guaranteed at Barcelona.
