Egyptian striker Marwan Mohsen has opened his goal scoring account with club Gil Vicente after hitting the net in Sunday's 2-1 win over Real SC in the Portuguese Cup.

Mohsen, who came on as a substitute in the second half, scored the opener for Gil Vicente in the 67th minute to help his team snatch a precious win in round 32 of the cup.

Last July, Mohsen and fellow countryman midfielder Hossam Hassan became the latest Egyptians to move to Portugal after signing for Gil Vicente on three-year deals.

The 25-year-old Mohsen ended an eight-year stint at Egypt's Petrojet.

Hossam Hassan missed the win over Real SC as he was not included in the Gil Vicente squad for the match.

Mohsen has made six appearances for Gil Vicente in the domestic league this season.

After seven weeks, Gil Vicente remains at the bottom of the league table with only two points, 17 behind leaders Benfica.
