Bayern Munich defender Mehdi Benatia said on Wednesday the performance he gave in the 7-1 Champions League drubbing of AS Roma is the perfect response to the criticism of German mediaThe Moroccan international helped his side thrash his former club at the Olimpico as Bayern maintained their 100 percent record in the Champions League group stage.
German media have constantly criticised Benatia for a number of below-par displays since his summer arrival for €26 million.
"I felt nothing in particular in this match," Benatia was quoted as saying by Footballitalia
"We showed that we are a great team and I took the opportunity to send a message to the German media, who should wait before judging me."
