Egypt is expected to witness a noticeable drop in temperatures starting from Saturday, meteorology authority head Ahmed Abdel-Aal has said.
The drop in temperatures will be accompanied by heavy rain in the Nile Delta, Halayab and Shalateen in Upper Egypt, north and central Sinai, and the north coast.
Cairo may see moderate rain on Sunday and Monday.
Maximum temperatures in Cairo and Nile Delta governorates are predicted to range between 18 and 19 degrees, between 20 and 21 degrees in northern Upper Egypt, and between 23 and 24 in southern Upper Egypt.
The meteorological authority advised people to wear warm clothes and avoid activities in Mediterranean Sea.
