Ahly's keeper Ahmed Adel Abdel-Moneam will be sidelined for a month due to a muscle injury, the Cairo giants announced on Monday.

Adel, who replaced injured keeper Sherif Ekrami, sustained his injury during Ahly's 1-0 win over Sewe Sport in the CAF Cup final on Saturday.

Scans revealed that the 26-year-old keeper needs four weeks of treatment.

With the absence of Ekrami, who underwent knee surgery last month, youth keeper Mossad Awad will be between the sticks against Smouha on Thursday.

The recent CAF cup winners are 12th in the league table with 14 points, 10 ahead of leaders ENPPI, but they have four matches on hand.
