The Egypt national handball team flew to Slovenia on Friday for a two-week-long camp as they prepare for the 2015 World Men's Handball Championship in Qatar next month.
Egypt have been drawn in Group C alongside Algeria, Iceland, France, Sweden, and Czech Republic in the 24th world championships, which take place from 15 January to 1 February 2015.
The 19-man national squad, who are managed by Marwan Ragab, are set to play four friendlies during their pre-tournament camp, against Hungary, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Slovenia.
It is the thirteenth time for Egypt to take part in the biennial competition. Their best-ever achievement came in France 2001 when they finished fourth.
