The Cairo French Institute has called for artistic submissions for the 13th Festival of Young Creators scheduled to take place in early March 2015.
Unlike in previous years, the 2015 theatre festival will consist of two sections, dividing the accepted submissions into those competing and those not competing.
The process will include a number of stages.
The pre-selection committee -- consisting of Tarek Douairy, Salam Yousry and Karima Mansour -- will select the plays that will be showcased in the Festival of Young Creators.
This year, the jury will be limited to the Egyptian artists who are yet to be announced. The jury will choose the winners of the competition. The winners will be invited to participate at the well-known theatre festival held each summer in Avignon, France.
Organised by the institute since 2003, the Festival of Young Creators (Le Festival des Jeunes Createurs) focuses on showcasing creativity and dynamism of the young Egyptian creatives working in theatre.
