The runners-up Al-Shorta will participate in the African Confederation Cup while third-placed Al-Tayaran will take part in the Arab equivalent.

Cairo giants Ahly clinched the title despite losing on 29-25 to Al-Shorta and qualified to compete in the Continental League alongside arch-rivals and title holders Zamalek.

Zamalek are to fly to Qatar on Thursday to compete in the Handball Club World Cup which will be held between 14 and 18 May as representatives of Africa. Their first match will be against Spainish champions Real Sociedad.
