Demonstrators took to the streets in the Egyptian port city of Suez following Friday prayers in solidarity with Palestinians and calling for national unity.
The demonstrators chanted slogans demanding the trial of those who incite sectarian strife in Egypt. Other chants expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Similar demonstrations carrying the same two slogans were also staged in the northen city of Arish, with the biggest in the capital Cairo.
