Explosives experts defused an improvised bomb on Friday afternoon at Victoria tram station in eastern Alexandria, reported Al-Ahram Arabic website.
Security forces sealed off the area while explosive experts combed the station for other devices.
Earlier on Friday another improvised bomb detonated at police station near a luxury sea-front hotel in Alexandria, leaving no casualties.
Bombings and shootings have become commonplace in Egypt since the 2013 ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi and a harsh crackdown on his supporters.
The attacks have mainly targeted security personnel but have also led to civilian casualties.
