French referee Tony Chapron will officiate at the Cairo derby between Ahly and Zamalek on Thursday, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced on Saturday.
The 43-year-old referee will be assisted by Hisham Zakrany, Juhan Piro and Jan Charlie in the league match.
The 109th Cairo derby is expected to be tough as the Red Devils, who are bidding for their ninth title in a row, are currently fourth in the table with 32 points, eight behind their rivals who are top.
Ahly last week demanded foreign referees for their games after claiming mistakes by local referees had cost them points.
