If it was any good, the bird wouldn't have dropped it.

لو كان فيه الخير ما كان رماه الطير

Law kan feeh el kheir ma kan ramah el teir.

 

Translation: If it was any good, the bird wouldn't have dropped it.

Meaning: If people who generally care little for you start making you offers, be on your guard. Birds of prey only drop inedible objects. So think twice before pursuing positions or projects what others had discarded.
