An international touring exhibition, The Bridge, aims to build and connect people from different faiths and cultural backgrounds, using art to encourage dialogue, tolerance and understanding.

“Caravan encourages communities to dissolve the differences between humanity and their religions,” says artist Reda Abdel-Rahman, co-curator of The Bridge.

Featuring 47 visual artists from 15 different countries, the exhibit launched in Paris on 2 February, and will be on display at Westown Hub between 4 and 30 April, and will then tour across several destinations in Europe and the United States though mid-2016.

The opening night will feature a special guest appearance by Egyptian Actor Khaled El-Nabawy.

The Bridge is CRAVAN’s 7th exhibit, with the latest project in 2014 titled Amen: a prayer for the world.

Forty percent of the exhibit's proceeds will be going to the NGO Educate Me, a programme for educating underprivileged children in Cairo.

SODIC, sponsoring the exhibit, is one of the region’s leading real estate development companies, ranging from residential to commercial centres.

The exhibition opens 4 April at 6 pm, and will run through 30 April
