After the 1-1 draw with Ismaily in the Egyptian Premier League on Wednesday, Ahly coach Juan Carlos Garrido revealed that he is not happy the result as he had expected to win.

Ismaily went ahead through an own goal from Ahly defender Saad Samir on the stroke of halftime, but January arrival Moemen Zakareya converted a penalty with six minutes remaining to secure a share of the spoils.

"My team played for a win so I am not satisfied with the draw," Ahly's Garrido was quoted as saying on the club's official website after the game.

"We missed a number of scoring chances in the first half and we dominated the game in the second half.

"I am happy with Moemen Zakareya and Abdullah El-Saied’s performances during the game, but time was against the players' efforts to snatch the victory," Ahly's coach concluded.

Ismaily’s new coach Tarek Yehia revealed that he is happy with the draw as his players suffered a lot during the game due to the hot weather.

"I am happy with the players’ performance as they did their best and deserved to win but the hot weather meant they could not do more," Yehia said after the game.

Ahly are third in the Egyptian Premier League table with 40 points, eight behind rivals and leaders Zamalek, while Ismaily are 6th with 33 points.
